Story
In memory of my dad, Allan White who died suddenly in November 2010, I've decided to do 3 runs to raise money for Roy Castle's lung cancer foundation. Lung cancer is a horrible disease and it is frightening how quickly someone you love is taken from you. By the time we found out my dad had the disease it was already too late. I'll be running the Liverpool half marathon, the Manchester 10k and then the Edinburgh marathon in May. As a new dad I'm struggling to fit in many training sessions so reckon I'll earn every penny you can donate! A few of my mates are also doing the runs with me for the same charity - both Scott Sheppard and Dave Mayor so thanks to you both too. We can enjoy a few well earned pints after the finish line eh? **you can also sponsor Dave Mayor and Steve Cheetham here** Both respected distance runners, Dave has previously completed the Great North run and Cheets has ran round dovestones a couple of times with me.Updates

Good luck Alli -I'm extremely proud of you for doing this 'mad' thing, despite the setbacks during training. I know dad would be proud and amazed too, as well as thinking you were slightly bonkers! Take it steady tomorrow - I'll be thinking of you every step of the way. Mamyaps xx
